I believe that each person seeking healing responds uniquely and individually to therapy, therefore, no “one size fits all”. I strive to listen carefully to each client, seeking to understand the various aspects of the crisis at hand, while approaching counseling with an open mind toward what is most helpful for the client.

Every person comes to counseling with unique challenges and travels toward healing in their own special way. I tailor my therapeutic approach to address the individual needs of each client. I strive to create an effective and meaningful healing process for every individual. I understand that beginning a counseling relationship can be intimidating and I encourage clients to feel free to bring well behaved pets into the counseling setting as an aide to reducing anxiety.
My primary method of counseling is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).
CBT is based on the fact that distorted thoughts and beliefs lead to negative moods and unhealthy behaviors. CBT is widely recommended as an effective method of working through obsessive disorders.
Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) is also a necessary component in effective treatment for Obsessive Compulsive Disorders.
When clients experience trauma, other counseling modalities may be helpful, I therefore incorporate Dialetical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and art therapy.
I strive to meet each person exactly where they are in a safe and non- judgmental environment. Although challenging, adversity can be a catalyst leading to personal growth. It is my privilege to support each client in his or her own personal journey towards health and healing.
